Job Summary: 

The AML Officer is responsible for ensuring the company’s compliance with anti-money laundering (AML) and counter-terrorist financing (CTF) laws and regulations. The role includes monitoring transactions, conducting due diligence, and implementing effective AML controls to prevent financial crimes within the organization. 

Job Responsibilities:

Implement and maintain the company’s AML and CTF policies, procedures, and controls in compliance with regulatory requirements.

•Conduct customer due diligence (CDD) and enhanced due diligence (EDD) for high-risk clients and transactions.

•Monitor and analyze transactions to identify suspicious activities and ensure timely reporting to the Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA) and relevant bodies.

•Prepare and submit Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs) and ensure full documentation of investigations.

•Stay updated with AML/CTF regulations, guidelines, and emerging risks, and recommend enhancements to compliance programs.

•Conduct periodic risk assessments and ensure internal systems are aligned with AML regulatory expectations. 

•Deliver AML/CTF awareness and training sessions to employees. 

•Liaise with regulatory bodies and auditors regarding AML matters . 

•Support the Head of Compliance in preparing periodic compliance and risk reports to management. 

Qualifications & Requirements: 

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting. 

Minimum 3 years of experience in AML within financial institutions.

Experience in Internal audit. 

Strong knowledge of AML laws, regulations, and regulatory frameworks in Egypt (e.g., FRA, and AML Unit).

Certification in AML/CFT is preferred.

Proficiency in MS Office and compliance monitoring tools. 

Excellent analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills. 

Strong communication skills in English and Arabic. . 

High level of integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
