Accountant
Job Summary:
The Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements related to the financial services industry. The role plays a key part in supporting financial reporting, analysis, and decision-making across the organization.
Job Responsibilities:
• Record, classify, and verify daily financial transactions in accordance with accounting principles and internal policies.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and statements.
• Perform general ledger and bank reconciliations accurately and on time.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing, collection, and payment processing.
• Monitor cash flow, prepare cash position reports, and assist in liquidity management.
• Support in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses.
• Ensure compliance with tax laws, VAT filings, and other statutory requirements.
• Assist in the preparation and support of internal and external audits.
• Maintain accounting records in accordance with IFRS and local standards.
• Contribute to the improvement of accounting systems, processes, and controls.
Qualifications & Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of accounting experience, preferably within the financial services or banking sector.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and IFRS standards.
• Experience with accounting or ERP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks).
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of local financial and regulatory requirements (e.g., FRA, Central Bank).
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
